It’s hard to believe that another year has passed. As I was reflecting on where it started, how it went, and what’s on the horizon, I began to realize that there really were many moments of magic, triumph, learning, and love to be had, well, all around.
That’s why, after hemming and hawing over whether or not my year should be summed up in a recap, I resolved (with the encouragement of my people - you know who you are) to share with you a summary of 2022 and what when down in the world of Meghan Quinn, bestselling author, wife, mother and the most loyal lover of peanut butter.
Here, There, Everywhere:
Connecting with my readers is always such an impactful experience for me. In 2022, I attended nine book signings in the following places and I had the most fun. I will say I enjoyed them all, but there was one particular signing that sparked my spirit again. I had a rough spring and summer with some particular grey feedback on my writing that made me question everything. When I went to Lexington, the readers made me realize just why I was writing, to bring joy to the world and offer an escape from reality. So big shout out to Lexington. Also, huge shout out to everyone who came to see me, you put such a huge smile on my face and I can't wait to spend more time with you in 2023.

Family moments:
This summer, we took a much-anticipated family vacation to San Francisco! My son “Squirt” really wanted to go, so we loaded up the family and made the trip. We’re pretty sure he learned about San Fran from school, and it was his “dream” to go. Over three days, we took in as much of the city as their little feet could. We went on a whale-watching tour, tracked around down to the bay, showed them the “Full House” houses, and had fun on the pier.
A most unforgettable experience of 2022:
Getting Covid while in Edinburgh, Scotland, was unforgettable – and yet, I’d love to forget about that part of it! I was stuck in London by myself for eleven days, sick and then recuperating. The silver lining was that I was kept company by ALL of my readers through Instagram. I stayed sane because of their love and companionship. So to all of you reading this now, thank you!

Hopes for 2023:
My dream is to keep providing stories to help readers escape from reality and find just a little bit more joy, humor, romance, and fun in their daily lives through my novels. I have six releases planned, so keep an eye out. And in case you were wondering, yes, the hockey boys are coming back this year!
I’m also actively pursuing the potential of a movie deal so that we can bring these beloved characters to life.
Aside from work life, I just want to do a lot more relaxing, finding moments to breathe and concentrating on how I can improve personally and as an author in the next year.
